You're free. Now what?

I offer consent-focused care as you rebuild your life and step into your power.

Hi, I'm Robin. Twelve years ago, I left the fundamentalist religion in which I'd grown up, and began creating a life based on my own values--freedom, love, and connection with the natural world. The path toward healing is long, and for me it included therapy, creation of personal ceremony and ritual, connecting with other ex-fundamentalists, expressive dance, and working with plant allies.

As a coach, I help you identify your goals and strengthen your inner wisdom as you create a more fulfilling life. I have experience and special interest in leaving purity culture and creating an authentic sexual ethic based in consent, not fear.

Disclaimer: I am not a therapist, and am happy to help you find a provider who is licensed to provide EMDR or other therapies.  Your confidentiality and safety always come first.

Background and Education

In addition to my engineering 'day job', I have sought a number of volunteer experiences including

  • End-of-life care with Hospice of Homer (AK)

  • Youth mentor/advocate with CASA of Marion County (OR)

  • Informal crisis support and de-escalation in a variety of public and private settings in Portland OR and Homer AK

  • Support for individuals in altered states and those dealing with intense personal hardship

  • Facilitation of ceremonial spaces for group and solo work

  • Facilitator for ecstatic dance (a freeform movement/meditation practice) in Homer AK

  • Tutor and robotics coach for middle school and high school youth

Formal trainings

  • Principles of trauma-informed care via CASA of Marion County (advocate for youth in foster care),

  • therapist Atira Tan’s “Trauma Informed Plant Medicine Facilitation” 85-hour program (in progress)

  • The School Of Consent’s 40-hour “Like A Pro—Wheel Of Consent for Touch Practitioners” consent education program.

Sessions

I offer remote coaching via Zoom. After a complimentary 15-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit, we can schedule a 60 or 75-minute session. Sessions may include discussion of your goals, exploration of emotions, increasing body awareness through optional gentle movement practices, creation of personal ceremony to mark closure of chapters in your life, techniques to support you in difficult family conversations, intimacy education, etc.

If you are interested in exploring what your spirituality could look like outside of organized religion, I am happy to support you in this--it's always your choice. You are the expert on your experience.

I am open to occasional in-person sessions in the Willamette Valley (Portland and Corvallis). I am also tracking interest for a small-group online peer group for those who have left fundamentalist religions. Please let me know if this may be of interest to you.
